MDC Fall 2011 =)

oh and my scores on the teas sucked thats another reason i knew i was going to be rejectioned then again i didn't even study or try hehe it was like 69 but my gpa is a 4.0

and wow you got lucky, it sucks having to be the bottom of the pile but i'm glad it worked out for you. That is a low score, but it makes you wonder maybe there werent that many high scores or that many got dropped either way woohoo you got a seat!

I'm still waiting for a letter, any kind of letter at this point lol.

but i think my chances are a lil less because i applied for the part time generic and with the whole mix up that happened in spring that affected this fall's applications and its pretty competitive anyways...

That they had offerred a spring part time generic class and everything was underway, but then for some reason due to budget cuts they cancelled it. with doing that they guranteed spots to those who got accepted in spring with a seat in fall 2011 due to the mix up. and because of that there was less avaliable seats to new applicants. An advisor had told me she didnt know much details but when she saw the list of the people who got accepted she was surprised. There were people with high scores and people with scores like 60's with ok gpas. and its a computer that generates the list so who knows if there were any flaws on top of the whole ordeal..

it's frustrating but what can we do... i'm sure people who dealt with the cancelling in spring were pretty upset too, so we can't blame them..

it's just mdc being mdc.. lol

Well i decided not to go so hopefully whoever wanted to go to homestead for full time will get lucky! i think fiu will benefit me more in the long run so good luck to those entering this fall :)
