MDC Fall 2011 =)

Hi guys! Who else is applying for MDC Fall 2011?

I am also applying for FIU-- I was accepted last year to MDC but for financial and personal reasons could not attend. :'( Who else will be applying to Generic FT? Please state what program you will be applying to!

I will be taking the TEAS sometime in March, in which I will also be taking the HESI A2 for FIU. So I might as well be studying for both, lol. Anybody taken the TEAS at MDC? Share your experiences here! :) I will be using a general book for nursing school entrance exams... it's by Barron... and I will be studying my math from a nursing calculation book, and my sciences from my anatomy, biology, and other notes. Is it true there is geology on the exam? How irrelevant... lol

    How did you get the syllabus? I need to give a copy of mine for the type of financial I'm getting. They won't buy the books without it and I don't want to wait until school starts to get it. Did your instructor email it to you?

    The professor emailed it to me... I am in sequence two, which might be why I received an email and others have not.

    Also, I think it is a wonderful idea for all of us to meet up after our first class :)

    can you tell us what the readings are for the first week?

    by the way:

    the medical campus library will be open during the summer break (aug 1st-19th) monday through friday, from 8am to 4:30 pm. we are closed on weekends and we are not lending books out--however, you can come in and read the books and make copies, print, study, etc.

    this is good if you want to get ahead for the first few weeks and don't have all your books yet. since it is verrrrryyy quiet, i am going to be bored. i need something to read lol.

    Hi guys i've been following this post since the beginning and today i just got a surprising email i just got accepted to the full time generic Rn for homestead??? uh question is this late or what? lol. i'm very confused it didn't even mention the orientation date i have gotten nothing doneee at all nor know what to get done bcuz reading from you guys it seems like alot of stuff, so i don't know what day its suppose to be done for? ahhh this is crazy i totally expected REJECTIOn what is this a joke?? help! :eek:

    OMG!!! That's awesome, CONGRATS!!!! To be honest with you at this point I thought they were just going to start mailing rejection letters, but I guess you were the lucky one!!! I am very happy for you :D!!!!

    If you don't mind can you share with us your TEAS and GPA? That may help who didn't get nothing yet a little hope!!! LOL!!!

    i guess some ppl couldnt afford it. today i spent about 1000 on my books and supplies. thank god i saved all my finacial aid money

    that is usually what it is :eek: i spent about 600 bucks on books--but i am not even done with getting all my supplies! yikes! i am trying to do this little by little or else i am not going to have money on my account to pay my insurance, vet bills, etc :uhoh3: :uhoh3: :uhoh3:

    i had to buy some books at the medical campus but i found some good deals online. but the price wasnt drastic. the stethoscope is pretty cool. i keep playing with it (checking my dogs heart beat)

    YeSSS that's what i was waiting for the rejection letter because its soo late in the game. i already have my heart set on fiu because many hospitals and jobs want the bacherlors so i rather go thru a program just for that, but who knows mayb i might accept. and yes i asked the lady why it took so long suppsively ppl didn't go to the orientation and they were declined and the next ppl were called up! so those who didn't get sent yet may have a chance still!!!
