MDC Fall 2011 =)

Hi guys! Who else is applying for MDC Fall 2011?

I am also applying for FIU-- I was accepted last year to MDC but for financial and personal reasons could not attend. :'( Who else will be applying to Generic FT? Please state what program you will be applying to!

I will be taking the TEAS sometime in March, in which I will also be taking the HESI A2 for FIU. So I might as well be studying for both, lol. Anybody taken the TEAS at MDC? Share your experiences here! :) I will be using a general book for nursing school entrance exams... it's by Barron... and I will be studying my math from a nursing calculation book, and my sciences from my anatomy, biology, and other notes. Is it true there is geology on the exam? How irrelevant... lol

Well good luck to us all! :heartbeat

I think you get a call for every program you apply to or they just call back to back if they don't reach you.

Hi everyone!! I just have a question for those of you who applied to both the accelerated and the generic. I applied to generic, but in order to apply to the accelerated, is it absolutely necessary for you to hold a bachelors degree in something else? or can anyone apply to that program too?

You must already have a bachelors degree in something else.

Accelerated is only for those with a previous Bachelor's degree in a non-nursing area.

Hi Everyone! I'm new on here but have gone back and read all of your posts! There is some very helpful info on here. Anyway, I applied to both generic and accelerated. My gpa was 3.67 and teas was 84.7. I got my phone call last week but they only called me once. I saw that some people got more than one call...did you get a call for each program that you applied to? The guy who I spoke to then said that they would begin sending emails on Monday (today). So I've also been anxiously checking my email. I wish they would just hurry up and send them!!

I applied to generic and accelerated full time and even the generic part time as a back up. I got 3 calls so I assumed it was one for each program that I applied to...but some people didn't get calls at all and some got more than one and only applied to one program...so who knows??? I have so many things to do today but I can't get off this computer! Ugggghhhhhhhh

Heeey and good luck. You have good scores, I think you'll make it! :)

It might be that they got more efficient as the calling process went on, and realized once they've been told to stay tuned to their email accounts, they don't need to be called 10 times hehe

As far as not getting a call at all, in THAT situation I would definitely call and check to make sure that contact information is up to date.

I can't stop i called again. Letters begin to be sent out as of last Wednesday. The guy said in this order generic part time, generic full time, accelerated. I asked about the lpn and he said everything will be out by Friday.

Beyond the Bachelors requirement, is the selection process still based on the same 60% TEAS / 40% GPA? Thanks

This is driving me crazy! I just want to know already!!!
