Math on NCLEX-RN

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi

Im so nervous i'am preparing to take my boards in almost two weeks. I have completed the kaplan course and now i'am doing over the kaplan questions that I got wrong and also my saunders cd. Any hoo Ive been doing ok, however the math that is on kaplan is very hard versus the math that I learned in nursing school. I was only taught 3 formulas and also my conversions. I'am fine with just coverting someting but when there is alot of numbers i get so confused and dont know what the question is asking me . My question is, is the math that is on kaplan the same as boards or can you please share with me how bad the math is on boards so i can prepare myself. I understand that I might not get any math or maybe even a couple, but i just want to be prepared just in case.

Thanks so much I would be forever so grateful

p.s. does anyone know of any good books that just have math that prep me for boards. I'm so desperate and i dont want to get little questions like that wrong.

Relax.....your nervousness alone can defeat you in your math. This is a very subjective question that depends upon the responder's mathematic ability. Personally, I did not find the math to be troublesome, but I signed a confidentiality clause stating I could not reveal anything about the content. Use common sense and take your time on those problems, and you'll do fine.

I had not one math problem on my boards 2 weeks ago.

I know people who didn't have any math problems. I had a couple pretty straightforward math problems. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I only had one math question. It involved a couple conversions and was one of the longer formulas but I can't remember which.

You should be fine. I had 3 math questions but generally all math uses the same formulas that you probably learned just remember to set the problem up correctly. Good Luck. Relax. Don't defeat yourself.

Math in the NCLEX are much more easier than on the review books... Goodluck!:smokin:

I only had 1 math question when I took the boards about 2 weeks ago. It was just like the ones I was taught in nursing school. Just look over what math problems you don't feel comfortable with and you will be fine ;)
