I believe MAN --master of arts in nursing, is a degree unique to the Philippines. Some have reported it is not always recognized in other countries as the general standard is a MS in nursing. So if one plans to live & practice nursing in the Philippines MAN might be beneficial. If one plans to practice overseas it might not be the best choice.

Kabayan, just so you know Canada recently removed nurses from the Skilled Workers List, meaning there's no demand for PH nurses or nurses from other countries, so keep that in mind.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

You are lucky to be considered as a dependent child on your mother's application the issue will be finding employer once you are in Canada. Have you started the process with the College of RN's? If you really need to study I would suggest MSN rather than MAN as MAN appears to be very much Philippine thing where Canada is aware of MSN
