Hi ya everyone, i just wanted to know if everyone has found it easy to make up their hours to go over to the usa, im still a student and im trying to get all my hours done now so im not faffing about afterwards but my uni are making such a big deal out of it, its giving me a headache arrrrrrgh!! OGP said that i need to have the following
Medicine 60 Practical/ 20 Theory
The same for surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, psychiatry.
I think its the psychiatry one thats going to cause me a problem as i think i will have all the others..they are on about sending me to broadmoor which im a bit scared about. If not ill have to do it after im qualified..

you can make up hours after you qualify, but they must be traceable through some form of official document, like the transcripts that can be obtained from your university, so be caerful, just going to work somewhere will not be enough, it would be much better to get it done during your training.
good luck
yeah thats what i told my uni today, because you need the theory as well as the practical. im going to try so hard to get it down before i qualify. thanks for ur advice.xx
go on at them until they cave in
there were some whispers of courses being held somewhere, dunno how true that is though.

I think midwifery will be more of a problem because some of the midwifery dept are struggling to mentor the midwifery students. I know where I worked they banned generasl student nurses from doing the practical side because they just couldnt manage them anymore. Staffing problems and all that.
