LPN to RN

Hello everyone--I am new to this web page, but I am very excited about it. I think this is what I've been searching for. Ok-I am a LPN working in a Pediatric office and I will be starting my RN program summer of this year at a local community college. They have a requirement that returning LPN's take the NLN before being admitted into the program to make sure you are at 2nd year level. Can anyone advise any good NLN practice books that I can purchase to make sure I am where I need to be. I need to brush up some on the basic nursing care skills (at least what they are teaching in school)!!! Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Is the NLN anything like the ACE challenge exam. Is so there are three parts to it. Fundamental, OB and peds. If you have a advisor talk to them about the test to find out more about it. The CC I attend gave us a brief study guide for the OB and peds portion. I studied from a nclex-rn review book and it worked well for me. Passing the exam placed me into last year of the nursing program. Good luck to ya!

good luck in school!

Welcome to this site! :)

I used the NCLEX-PN study books but I have heard using the RN ones might be better! Also I was surprised at what the library had, while studying there I looked at the healthcare books and found 2 that I actually checked out and studied with! Good Luck!

Hi and welcome,

I bet if you google the nln site they probably sell study guides or maybe you can even get one from Amazon or ebay. Good luck! Jules
