LPN Magazines

Can anyone recommend a decent magazine geared towards the LPN?

Thanks in advance! :coollook:

I really like LPN 2005, published by Lippincott. I will continue to subscribe to it even after I'm an RN, and will add Nursing 2005 (2006!) then as well. I subscribed to AJN my first year of school and didn't find it nearly as helpful as these two.

Thank you both! I just subscribed to Advance and headed to LPN 2005 to subscribe.

OK tried to order the LPN 2005 but on the website it says $22.99 or something for ONE? I hope that's one YEAR??!! LOL

I didn't order it yet ...was hoping someone here knew how many subscriptions you receive. I could not find anything that listed a number.

LPN2005 is a strange subscription. They charge by the year, so if you subscribe in August you pay the $22.95 for the year 2005. If you want LPN2006, you have to pay the 22.95 again. It doesn't run Aug-Aug, but Jan to Dec.

I found this out when I gave them my new address and asked where a missing copy was. They told me that my first issue (I think it was April) was sold out but that my subscription was good until the end of 2005. If I wanted to continue until April 2006, I would have to pay a new subscription.

I was not impressed with the LPN magazine.........but that is just my opinion.

Hopefully it will continue to get better. However, I LOVE my advance for LPN magazine. It has a lot of local info for me too. If you are an RN student you can sign up for Advance for Nurses which is good (and free) also.

You get six issues a year. It has some really helpful articles...especially for those of us who haven't been around all that long.

Are you serious? So if I would subscribe to the magazine right now I'd only get maybe one or two issues for $23???

And then I'd have to pay another $23 in january?

Did anybody else have the same problem?
