LPN IV Certification Problem

Hello everyone. Glad 2 be here.

I have a problem i'm hoping someone can help me with. I became an LPN in 1988,and back then they didn't offer an IV certification class.

It hasn't been a problem until recently when many jobs are now closed to me because I'm not IV certified.

Is there ANYwhere in Mid-Missouri where I can get certified?

Please let me know, either as a reply to this thread or PM me.

Thanks!

This doesn't bode well for me.......:o

I was fortunate enough to be one of the first classes to come out IV certified, however our local hospitals offer the course. Maybe you can check with the BON? hope this helps.

i recieved my IV cert through a pharmacy in Florissant called Interlock Pharmacy. they IV certified a whole class of people from different organizations and facilities. you might want to check into that as well. i do not know if they offer it to individuals or if you have to be an employee somewhere that has a contract with them.. hope this helps you out!!!

Hi everyone ! I am licensed in Ky and just applied for my Missouri license. We were IV certified in school, had to be to graduate, and then had to do 5 hour class with the board on Central lines and our scope regarding them. Now, Missouri wants me to get IV cert again????? How much more money is this gonna cost? UGH - I will be living near Fort Leonard wood, does anyone know where i might be able to get that done.
