  6. It's been a loooong time since I've been here, but now I'm back! Good to see all of you!! I work in Mid- MO I live there,too I'm originally from Chicago, but now reside in the heart of MO I've been a Nurse for 20 years (or more. Man, does it feel like more..)

  10. Dude, i hear ya when it comes to discrimination from women about Male Nurses. Most are cool with it,and even respect a man who they feel must be special to be so compassionate and caring to do the work we do. But there are SOME... They either fell threatened or intimidated or have had some bad experiences with a man in their life and suddenly YOU are the personification of all things WRONG with the Y chromosome. It's a cross to bear, but I do it for the sake of my patients.....

  13. Hello everyone. Glad 2 be here. I have a problem i'm hoping someone can help me with. I became an LPN in 1988,and back then they didn't offer an IV certification class. It hasn't been a problem until recently when many jobs are now closed to me because I'm not IV certified. Is there ANYwhere in Mid-Missouri where I can get certified? Please let me know,either as a reply to this thread or PM me. Thanks!
