Looking for IL RN job

Hey!

I am moving to IL within the next year. I have been an ortho nurse for about 2 years. I am looking to hopefully change to OB/mother-baby/NICU from what I understand they like you to have experience. But what do they expect not everyone is able to get the job they want right out of school....does anyone know if they have some experienced RN residency type programs to help with a transfer to another unit? how hard is it to change units anyway? Any input would being greatly appreciated.

Thanks!:wink2:

several hospitals in Rockford offer residency or orientation programs. It just depends on what you are looking for. You can look at Rockford Memorial Hospital or OSF websites regarding their residency programs. Swedish American offers an orientation program depending on your area of interest. Hope this helps
