I'm taking advantage of a Loan Forgiveness Program here in south jersey. The hospital pays for the rest of my schooling, up to $10,000, including licensing and uniforms. In turn, I work full time (three 12's) for them for 2 years.
I also get an externship with them this summer and the opportunity to work per diem for the upcoming school year.
Sorry but what is a loan forgiveness program. Do they offer you a loan as a part of obtaining your lpn/rn and you have to repay them by work for their hospital after you obtain your degree.
A loan repayment program is a perk used by hospitals to get new RNs. In exchange for some amount of service, the hospital agrees to repay a portion of your student loans. These are loans you are currently repaying (government and private loans).

No, this isn't entirely correct. I have no student loans whatsoever. My school sends an invoice to my hospital for tuition and books, and the hospital pays the school directly.

Usually, that is called "tuition assistance", "educational assistance", etc.
"Loan forgiveness" is what Energizer said, where they pay some or all of the student loans you had before becoming their employee.
I'm hoping to find this benefit when I finish school, too.
Good luck!
Some examples of hospitals that have these programs in Pennsylvania include Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Bradford Regional Medical Center, Butler VA Medical Center, Fox Chase Cancer Center, and Frankford Hospital.
Actually, I would love to know the name of the hospital in South Jersey where you are working, "CallMePatti." My students would love to know this!

Is anyone aware of any hospitals in NJ that have student loan forgiveness as part of their benefits?
