I am currently attending an associates degree program in MA and I would like to be able to move to TN when I am all through. How does licensing and transferring work? I heard that I can apply for my license in TN and take the NCLEX in MA. I was just wondering since i only have a year left and would like to move as soon as I am able to. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!!

Transferring liscensure, a lot of times, is a huge pain (even among compact states). If you're sure you don't want to work in MA, I'd do the first thing TheCommuter suggested.
Oh okay so I can apply for the TN and take the NCLEX here in MA?

Yes, NCLEX is a national exam. It doesn't matter where you take it geographically. You can take it in Rhode Island or New Hampshire if they have sooner dates available when you get your ATT.
Thanks so much for all the input...I really appreciate it!!!
