AUGUST 2018 COHORT

Did anybody apply last week, May 24th? I sat down with nurse managers that were available that time. The specialty didn't really matter to me. It was an interesting experience selling myself to them.

Please post if you have gotten selected for a second interview! I want PICU, nothing yet.

On the paper that was given, the second round of interview will be between May 25th even until July. You only applied for PICU?

no I interviewed at a medical floor too but I want PICU

I was invited back for a second interview with the PICU and was contacted last Friday! My interview is tomorrow.

Congrats! How many areas did you apply for?

Thank you so much! When applying to the residency, I applied for NICU/PICU, acute care peds and women's services, but I only interviewed with the nurse managers from Peds ER and PICU when the interview day came. It was challenging trying to get to all of my areas of interest within the given hour so unfortunately, I had to prioritize.

Are you a fresh grad? I was interviewed too but I am not a new grad but without experience.

You also had a second interview with the PICU or another specialty? I graduated in December of 2017 so pretty recent but not fresh and I have a few months of nursing experience.

I graduated 2007 recently passed NCLEX I'm a foreign grad with few months of experience. I am still hoping for a call but I don't know the likelihood of being hired because most of the applicants graduated recently.
