Thank you! I have to fill out the acceptance form by June 11. I am still waiting for the pre-hospital health assessment requirements email. I heard it is a process, because you have to do a drug test, dental check-up, doctor check-up, background check, and more.

Nothing can really prepare you for nursing school. I recommend just enjoying your freedom. If you're good with organization and time management you will be fine. Also the semesters ahead of you are always willing to help out and we pass a long study guides we made to the incoming students.

Oh of course. Since you're the first one in, I recommend creating a fb group for your class so you guys can post information and stay in contact between classes. Wait for Karla to email you the health packet. You're going to need all of your titers drawn and need a two step tb test. The background check information will also be sent to you and after you pay that they will give you a labcorp location for your drug screen. The reading in 1st semester is almost impossible I only read for gerontology but maybe @vashh can give you an update of what is truly necessary now. I recommend enjoying yourself early in the summer, you will be busy with orientation and getting all of your health screen requirements done. Also make copies of everything! Sometimes they lose things and it's never their fault haha. So cover your a**

Don't be bummed..that's still a pretty low number. You never know!! :) I haven't even gotten a response yet :/ So I'm only thinking the worst..

Thank you Erin02716! Yeah 20 is not bad. Many students that got accepted into a different nursing program will deny their spot. So don't lose hope :)

They pretty much just do a scare tactic in orientation by telling you how much work it's going to be. You will have students that passed first semester come to your class to give you advice, but if you want the real scoop, speak to them when the professors aren't around. Ya a few people in my class created facebook profiles just to stay in contact with the group.
