  1. Don't be bummed..that's still a pretty low number. You never know!! :) I haven't even gotten a response yet :/ So I'm only thinking the worst..
  2. Dang! Congrads!! Must be such a relief. Did you get any instruction on what's next?
  3. Haha that hilarious...just our luck! Lol well that's good to know. Crossing my fingers!!
  4. Not a thing... I've called but she doesn't pick up anymore probably due to other impatient applicants. There seems to be a trend where the selection process takes longer with each semester. meh
  5. Yeah that's the cut score though.. From what the lavc counselor told me, it's all an even playing field for those who qualify. Unlike pierce and other schools that go by points system. But I could be wrong. I've applied to so many schools that my understanding of everything could be one big blurry mess lol. However they do it, I wish they'd speed it up a little
  6. LAVC goes straight to lottery. It's quite unfair for those with higher GPAs and scores. Once you qualify for the application process your name goes in the lottery along with the rest of the pile. :/
  7. This has been the most frustrating week of anxiety ridden waiting.... Has anyone heard anything? ClassyBoxer..since you're a veteran of nursing school, could you recommend some reading material that might prepare us for what's ahead or help us ease the blow of the first semester of hell
  8. Has anyone inquired about the collaborative bsn program that lavc/pierce/CAC/Glendale are doin with CSUN? A counselor told me that they only accept Spring applicants
  9. Judging by the Fall 2014 applicants, they started getting the word 2 weeks into May. I cannot wait for the first person to get the call!! At least that way the rest of us will know that answers are soon coming lol.
  10. I did as well! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one walking in circles waiting for that magical email from Karla. We should be hearing back within the next 2 weeks. Last year's applicants started getting replies starting May 12th. Best of luck to you all!
  11. I did.I also applied to Pierce. I had a 3.6 prereq GPA and a 3.19 overall. 80% on the TEAS. I ran out during the math section to use the bathroom and lost time lol THE WORST feeling!! I could have scored much better. But as far as the numbers go for LAVC, as long as you qualify to apply, you automatically will get into the lottery, unlike Pierce which has a bit of a different method..not sure exactly what.
  12. I did. It's been quite a nerve wrecking few months waiting lol. I also applied at LAVC. But from what I've read, we should be getting word from Karla within the next week or two...or 3:nailbiting:
