Langara Fall 2016!

Hey guys! I also applied for the fall 2016 intake with a 3.4 GPA. I heard the fall intake is more competitive than the spring one ekkks regardless, I wish you all the best of luck!!! :)

Hi everyone! I just completed my application requirements so now I'm just waiting to see if I get in. I have a 3.6 gpa for the 5 requirement courses. Hopefully it will be enough. I'm really nervous that with the change to the requirements coming for Jan 2017, there will be more applicants for Fall 2016 and that my gpa won't be enough!!!! I have a Bachelors degree so I hope that actually helps but who knows. Good luck to us all:)

I applied, pretty sure i will get waitlisted though. They say a mim of C+ but that wont even get you a spot. Maybe they should upgrade and say min of A lol

Has anyone here been offered a seat yet?

Nothing yet and I've been checking my email literally every 5 minutes. I'm losing my mind haha. Looking back at the posts from last year's intake, the offers started rolling out around the Friday or the Saturday after the applications closed so that should have been last weekend. Maybe they had more applicants this year or something...

Yeah I don't know why it's taking longer either...

i emailed the admission advisor earlier today, they said offers will be sent early to mid March! Back to the waiting game!

Hi there! I'm Fifi and I really want to get into nursing as well. I applied for this intake and am crossing my fingers for a seat!

Does anyone know what the GPA cut off is?

I don't think we will know the GPA cut off until all the seat offers are sent out. I got impatient yesterday and talked to an advisor that told me the same as mentioned above, the seat offers will hopefully start being sent out first or second week of March. Let's hope it's the first week! I was told the delay is due to the large quantity of applications submitted for this intake:cry:

Hey AndreaS22! I was looking at ur posts and saw that you got into Kwantlen's program! Congratz! Are u debating between Kwantlen and Langara now?

Thanks fifi06!! Yes, I am hoping to secure a seat in a BSN program but the Psych nursing is my backup. I am waiting to hear back from Langara, UFV and BCIT :)
