Langara Fall 2016!

Published

I know it's a bit early, just wondering if anyone else has applied for the Fall 2016 term? My application was completed at the beginning of this month, fingers crossed.

Hi I applied too!

Im applying for 2017! Out of curiosity what did your applications look like? GPA and number of credits?

HI Kayyyy, I applied with a 3.47 and 17 credits. What about yourself?

Im not applying until next semester so Im not sure right now. They just changed the requirements now and they don't accept electives so I'm worried It won't be as high as other years that had that option!

Oh I think you will be okay. Changing requirements usually sends everyone through a loop. My gpa was a bit lower because I took A&P 1 & 2 as well as the harder English course so I didn't have to take it during the semester! Are you applying anywhere else?

Hi guys, since finals are over I've had a tentative look at my new gpa that I'm applying with for fall 2016, I bumped up my gpa from a 3.27 to a 3.40 (still waiting on a final mark from one of my electives, but this is what i'm working with). I've been waitlisted for spring 2016 (not too sure if there will be a chance for me to get in - everyone's basically had their offers sent at this point) and I've applied for fall 2016 as well. Pretty nerve-wracking having to wait a while for offers to be sent out whilst knowing that most people who have gotten accepted have gpas of 3.5 or higher (as read in previous intake posts). Now we play the waiting game

Good luck Sairda. I heard of some people being accepted really last minute, so fingers crossed for you!

Thank you haedis, hoping we all get our acceptances soon enough, especially with the new change in prereqs and all!

My GPA is 3.40. I have 4 years degree but I am sure it will be considered as an advantage. I think having the higher GPA is key point for the seat rather than having a degree.

Hankuki, having a degree will push you to the top of the list, regardless of your GPA, as long as you meet the minimum 2.33 GPA. I would wish you good luck, but you probably don't need it! :)

Hi guys! I also applied for the fall 2016 intake and I'm super nervous! Goodluck to all :) We will be hearing answers up to a month after the Jan 31st deadline :S
