L&D for 20 years:
Largest set of multiples: Quints
Longest overdue: 42.2
Youngest mother:: 13 years
Oldest mother: 45 years
Grand multipara: G16 (Amish)
Biggest baby: 12lb 6oz
Smallest baby: to survive delivery? 14oz. Not sure if she made it out of NICU....it was years ago.
Biggest EBL: over 3L
I have worked in small community hospitals and large teaching hospitals, in L&D, Postpartum and NICU as a nurse for 18 years and 19 years as a midwife, so these are collective statistics from all of those:
Largest set of multiples: triplets
Longest overdue - 42 and 3 days (though my own youngest was 42.6)
Youngest mother - 11
Oldest mother - 62 or 63 (IVF, don't even get me started on this one!)
Grand multipara - G16
Biggest baby - 14+ lbs.
Smallest baby - about 12 oz. (I admitted this baby to the NICU but he or she survived less than 24 hrs.) Smallest baby at fullterm - less than 4 lbs.
Biggest EBL - not exactly sure, but know I've seen over 2L
L&D: 25 years (floated to NICU & PP too)....many years in a large, High Risk University Hospital where I saw ALOT
Largest set of multiples: Quints
Longest overdue: 43-44 weeks (no prenatal care, but sure LMP & gestational age assessments coincided)
Youngest mother: 10....with twins ?
Oldest mother: 57 (Trisomy 18, non-viable)
Grand Multip: G18
Biggest Baby: 14+ lbs....SVD ?
Smallest baby (that survived): 450 gm
Biggest EBL: Can’t remember the #, but covered most of the OR
I've only been in postpartum for 11 months and L&D for only 5-6 months, but in that time this is what I've seen:
Largest set of multiples: Triplets
Longest gestation: 42+5
Youngest: 13y.o
Oldest: 43y.o.
Grand Multip: G19
Biggest Baby: 11lb 3oz
Not sure about smallest one
Biggest EBL: Either 6 or 7L, DIC, kept her uterus!

What are some extremes you’ve come across in your career? Biggest/smallest full term baby, youngest/oldest mother, the most kids in one family, largest set of multiples, the longest overdue... or whatever else you can think of.
