Hello all,
I just finished my Nursing prereqs at the end of the Spring 2012 semester, Microbiology being one of my last ones I finished. I've since already applied to my first Nursing school so that's out of my hands now.
Anyway though I still have my Micro book and right now it's just collecting dust. I have held onto my Anatomy book which is a given to retain for Nursing school, I'm sure.
But should I keep my Micro book for Nursing school? If not I want to try to sell it online and make a little bit of money, like, for Nursing school books. My impulse is to sell it but can any of you Nursing students already accepted and enrolled tell me if I should keep it?
Thanks in advance.

I can't think of a reason to keep it. I got rid of mine, and there is nothing in it that I have needed since (I'm a senior now). If you had a question on something, look it up. You are right though about A&P. It is a great go to reference...
Good luck!

I kept all of my medical-related books from pre req's. Haven't found a need to review by micro book yet, but I've been holding onto it just in case...

I still have mine, but if you need it keep it. Definitely keep A&P too.

Great question...
I just found myself today getting out the ole A & P book to reference back to...
Hence my answer-yes :)

I barely had to pay for any books during NS. Reason: I sold ALL my books that are current editions because those are top money and I would basically recoup the cost of the book. I then repurchased books I knew I would need (only book was med/surg) but in an older edition. Worked like a charm. I did not repurchase an older A&P book because with the amount of reading bestowed upon me, I didn't have time to reference any book. My professors would talk about A&P in class and provide notes if it was pertinent to the lesson. If I really needed something though, there was always Google.

Out micro professor told us we COULD buy the book and it was for sale the bookstore (she had to say this) but that we did not need it! We took great notes though! I refer back to my notes a lot! I'd just keep an organized binder with your notes an sell the book!
