I am about to take it for the first time, and I am very nervous because that is the only time I want to take my test.
If I were you,
I would look at my test and see the areas that I was weak at. And then I would think "am I missing the questions because I don't know my material or because I did not use process of elimination?"
Remember your MASLOW, ABCs and priority... eliminate which is most stable first.. and put them in order in your head.
good luck to you and good luck to me too

I also took the Kaplan review course, and I remember in the orientation (and in the book) it states that if you are not reaching at least 65% on trainer 6 & 7 you should not take the exam. That might sound incomprehensible to you at this point, but I would think about rescheduling. I knew first hand of someone who did the Kaplan course, only to fail her exam. This person reached 55% on trainer 7. I would suggest reviewing all the content material (following along with the videos is helpful), and making sure that you complete & review every question in the Qbank. The more questions you do the better! Taking the NCLEX was the most stressful thing I have ever done, and when they say that it is all about the strategy they are correct! It is a horrible test that you do not want to take twice, so be prepared the first time around! (I passed with 75 after taking the kaplan review and I got a 70 something on trainer 7 and averaged 68% on my Qbank questions) You can do it!!! YOu know the content, now you just need to perfect your strategy! Good Luck and God Bless!!

If you need to take more time then take it and reschedule, you need to feel confident.
Good luck

I just finish the Kaplan course in Cincinnati. It was great! I feel alot better about taking the NCLEX now.
On my own, I have been using Saunder's book and the Kaplan 'NCLEX Exam-Meds in a Box'. But the Kaplan course really taught me how to take the test.
Best wishes to you all!

diagnostic 54
readiness 56
QT 1 57
QT 2 55
QT 3 56 (which I took today)
How can I get out of this range? I am listening to the videos, taking notes, with the book open, etc? I even stayed at a motel and studied. How can I improve? I was in an accelerated BSN program and didn't pass any of my HESEs, but I'm not going to take my chances with boards until I get the magic 65%. Thanks in advance.
