Hi all,
I just graduated at the beginning of this month and I have been debating purchasing the Kaplan online reveiw. I really just want questions to do. I have the Kaplan strategies book and have started reading that and I know there are questions on the CD that comes with that book. Does anyone know if they are similar to the Qbank or Question Trainer questions? Also, I was searching the web and I noticed that there is a website (dont know if its appropriate to share here) that has "NCLEX Question Trainer explanations". I was wondering if anyone knows of this website and knows whether those questions are really from the Kaplan question trainer?? ANyway, thanks for any info in advance!!

I would just go ahead and spring for the Kaplan Q Bank if I were you. You have to have something to study.

Get the Kaplan Course. That would be your best bet in reviewing for your NCLEX. I took Kaplan and i also have the kaplan strategy book. Im not sure if the cd that comes with the book has the same content as the qtrainer 6&7.

Yeah, I know of the website. And I'm 99% sure they are the actual Kaplan questions. It looks as if it was scanned directly. There's even the Kaplan mark on the bottom of each page. Great material! I've learned a lot and feel my confidence increasing. :) I'm even improving as I'm taking each test. It's as if I've gone to an actual Kaplan course!

I am scheduled to take my NCLEX on June 1st and I have just been studying the Kaplan review stuff. Working on all the question trainer tests now and making my way through the Q-Bank questions. Do you guys feel that this is sufficient for studying?
Thanks
I am using the Kaplan review course, the Kaplan "Strategies, Practice, and Review" book, and the La Charity book. I have heard people say that Kaplan doesn't offer much in the way of content, but the review course has very comprehensive content reviews on their website and the free books you receive with the course, "Basics" and "The RN Course Book" seem sufficient to me.
I will take the NCLEX sometime in June. I really feel like Kaplan is worth it. Really take your time to identify the topic of the question and work through whatever strategy you need to use. If you think them through and take your time, you will start to see patterns in the questions and, without even realizing, you will start answering more and more correct.
Well, I'll be signing off now and applying for a job at Kaplan since I'm doing such a good job blowing smoke up their a**

My school made us use Kaplan (the whole course) and I really liked it. We did the in-person review with the Kaplan instructor along with the RN coursebook and Basics book from Kaplan. The Qbank and Question Trainers are GREAT resources to use for question practice. In all honesty I took the NCLEX yesterday and there really is nothing to compare to those questions. But if I had to pick, it would be Kaplan who was closest. They really prepared you to answer the prioritization, SATA, and assignment questions. I passed with 75 questions.

I personally studied Exam Cram and just took NCLEX-RN on May 23rd. There were several questions that were very similar to the questions I had studied on Exam Cram. I just got my official results this morning. I passed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
