just took it...very scared

Hi All,

I just got home from the NCLEX. I feel sort-of numb. I got 120 questions. It was as hard as everyone said it would be, but I still feel like it was the hardest test I ever took. I felt like I didn't know the answers to so many questions. The worst part is everyone that I went to school with that has taken it got 75 questions and 2 girls that were there left before me and both got 75 questions.

That makes me feel like I definitely didn't do well. I'm so upset I think I better just try and calm myself down for a little while. I don't think distraction is going to help for the next 2 days.

I know ho much you having riding on this....let us know how you do....X [crossed fingers]

take a CHILL PILL and calm those nerves!! :rotfl: you've probably read in previous posts that the number of questions you finish on the NCLEX do not determine if you pass or fail!!! if you found the exam hard like all of us who took it, then thats a very positive sign because you should be answering 50% of the questions correctly.....read this, it's the rationale to the NCLEX:

http://caring4you.net/concept.html

just relax and i'll be looking forward to reading that you guys passed your NCLEX in the next couple days

Thanks for the info...it sure helped alot...I will do the best that I can to hang in there till wed.....

I COMPLETELY understand how you feel spec and nynurse because I took my test today also, and it cut off at 78. Sending prayers your way. Spec, I felt the exact same way as I was taking the test.

Thanks for the support everyone. I had to take a nap when I got home I was so drained! I'm feeling much worse than I thought I would after taking it. I don't know what I'm going to do to keep myself busy these next few days! As nynurse, wrote I too have a ton riding on this. If I didn't pass, I will have to reapply for my job which I had lined up and everthing. I'll be sure to let everyone know once I find out my results.

I'm not going to lie to you...this next 48 hours will be the worst in your life. I just went through them...ugggggg....I feel for you!

Just remember that it doesn't matter how many questions that you had. It just means that the computer needed a little more time to decide how safe you are. i had 130 questions...i passed....I know what anyone says really isn't going to help, but hang in there. Clean or something....

Best wishes. Everyone feels terrible when they leave NCLEX, we've all been there. There's no relief until you get those results. Good luck.
