Does anyone have any advice/thoughts/info on the nurse internships at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. I will be graduating in 3 weeks, and after hopefully passing boards will be looking for a job. I know JPS is known to be a teaching hospital, and I am very interested. I would love to hear from anyone! Thanks!

I just accepted a GN job here and I love this hospital!! I had almost all of my clinicals here and I am excited to start working. I don't know if you've found a job yet but I suggest JPS!
Thanks for the input! I am currently still working in a long term care facility. I think I am going to apply at JPS because I really want to be in the hospital setting. I saw where there are quite a few positions in PCU I believe, so maybe it will work out. Good luck with the new job and congratulations!

After reading this post..and desperately wanting to work in a level 1 trauma center I applied to JPS last night since I have not heard a word from Baylor or Parkland in 4 months of applying. Well this morning I recieved a phone call to set up a phone interview with JPS for tomorrow. I am very excited and impressed...for a minute I thought that even a nurse with 10 yrs experience as myself cant get a job in DFW area...I will let you know how it goes.
Thats great! Yes, I would love to know how it goes:)
