job hunt

Job hunting is not so fun. How's everybody doing? :)

Not so good :( In April it will be a year that I have been looking for a job. I had an interview two weeks ago but they still haven't made a decision. I guess it is a good sign that I'm not totally out of the running for the job. The anxiety is killing me though! I feel like my stomach is constantly in knots!

Prinsessa can I ask what school did you attend? THanks:)

Finally found one after months of searching endlessly. I wish everyone else good luck and good fortune in finding their first job.

No it's not fun at all :( I'm startin to worry coz my unemployment is up in like 6 weeks. But I do have 2 interviews this week that's I'm really excited about. One at a psych facility and another at a stepdown unit of a hospital. I'm really hoping to get the hospital position because it will be better experience, but I will take whatever I can get... if I can get anything at all. Wish me luck!

Just started my job this week. Its been 10 months since i looked for a job.

No it's so scary!!! I'm with prinsessa...waiting for a call back after an interview and my stomach is in knots!:uhoh3:

Just got done with an interview. My one and only interview. Crossing my fingers, though I don't think I did that well. Froze on a question!!! Well, I'm only human.

Trying to determine if a follow-up letter is warranted or not. Any input would be appreciated.

I'm crossing my fingers for all of you that are waiting to hear about an interview. I just had one today and it went really well, and I think she really liked me, but she told me there are 7 other people interviewing this week for the same position! Ughhh! And I'm a new grad. Probably a long shot, but I'm still going to hope I get a call back. She said she will be calling back 2 or 3 people for a 2nd interview by the end of the week. I'll be waiting by my phone lol

How many of you guys are May 2009 grads?

seems like everybody is getting an interview. but how? any tips?

gl :)

I know this has nothing to do with me, but I wanted to pop in to wish you all luck with your job search. It is amazing to me the number of May 2009 grads that don't have jobs. It also amazes me when I hear students graduating this May tell me no hospitals are coming to their schools to recruit. I graduated in May 2008 and the last semester we were bombarded with hospitals at least once a week! At my hospital, nearly everyone new hired tells me they were a May 2009 graduate. I will say "So you worked somewhere before coming here?" and they tell me how this is the first job they were able to get. It blows my mind. I just cannot imagine. I am wishing all of you the best. Hang in there!! It will happen...none of you came this far to not go all the way! :)

Hopefully I didn't offend anyone with my butting in. I just couldn't pass by without saying something!
