I can't believe I'm making this step. OB is all I've ever done, and all I've ever wanted to do. But I was ready for a change, and I accepted a job offer in a different area of nursing! I'm going to be doing perinatal research. So I won't be TOTALLY leaving OB altogether. I will be working part of the time in the department I currently work in, as well as a couple other hospitals in the area.
I feel pretty proud that I will have worked at two of the most prestigious hospitals in the Denver area (both have Magnet status and are nationally renowned for their research), all with "only" an ADN!

Congrats:). Sometimes it's not only the degree that counts, it takes smarts too. Getting your foot in the door and showing them what you're made off can work wonders.
Again,Congrats:).

That is so exciting! I'm thinking of moving "off the floor" at some point. I'm thinking women's and children's case management.
Remember, you can always go back to OB if you don't like what you're doing.

I read your comment - weird! It's like we're living parallel lives. What city do you live in ?
