Hi,dumb question but having a debate....is IV Flagyl refrigerated at times??? I could have sworn that I've pulled it from our fridge,but others are challenging me...any thoughts

we do not put ours in the fridge....

No, it should not be refrigerated. You could ask the pharmacy if it's still usable if it's accidentally been refrigerated. I believe it can precipitate.

At my facilities it is labeled "do NOT refrigerate."

Intravenous Medications, Mosby - indicate DO NOT refrigerate, will precipitate.

some of our pharmacy techs have trouble reading and I have found it in the fridge...drives me mad!

Never refrigerated...in fact it specifically says "Do NOT refrigerate"

If you've pulled it out of the fridge, I'm guessing someone put it in there mistakenly.
I've seen that happen; our HUCs unload the dummy and will put any piggyback in the fridge, regardless of the label.
