IPRP Affinity Testing

No, they will just tell you it is completely random.  I’ve went 6 weeks with no test, then a few in a couple weeks.  Sometimes they are back to back.  Unfortunately there is no pattern, or way to prepare.  I do know of people who were chose 2 days in a row calling their case manager, and getting one excused.  But that all depends on your case manager.  Keep your head up, and remember this is all temporary.  That’s what I have been telling myself for the last (almost) 2 years.  LOL

Okay. It’s been 7 weeks now. I’m supposed to be done in December. I still have 23 more tests I’m supposed to take. Should I call my caseworker?

December 2021? I just sent my caseworker an email and ask what I needed to complete the program.  I needed a letter from my employer,  my sponser and myself. I emailed those back to her. If you don't reach out I'm sure they will just let you stay in the program until you do.

Yeah, December 2021. I just want to be done with this program. I don’t want them to tell me at the end that I wasn’t tested enough and to extend my time. You know?

What ended up happening here? (VERY interested! I'm at the start of my journey but already feeling like I'm in a similar boat.)

I'd be very assertive about finding out what is going on here. Do you have it in writing that you're supposed to be tested X amount of times? Did they give you a number? 

I'd be very surprised if they attempt to extend your contract. They can't just do that for no reason? I say that because I went one month past my contract, because my caseworker did not know how to read a test and told me it was positive! I ended up contacting the program director, who promptly told me that test in question was NEGATIVE and I had my completion letter in my email within the hour. 

Don't be paranoid, just do not assume they are looking out for you. Follow up and keep up. 

I am finished! When I signed up, the contract said 16 tests if not employed as a nurse but up to 26 tests if I was. I was employeed as a nurse and ended up taking 16 tests. So, so happy to be done!
