Internship Interview

I had an interview for an intership in ICU last week with the hospital that I work for. I'm so excited but I'm trying not to get my hopes up yet! They said I should hear something the beginning of May so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. This is what I really want, it just seems surreal. If I get the internship I will get 6 months training including classes and have to sign a 2 year contract. Wish me luck! :nurse:

I'm sure you'll love and enjoy ICU. Of course you'll be transitioned slowly by your unit to taking care of more challenging patients. It is quite a demanding role but take every opportunity to learn and enhance your skills. Be pro-active and armed w/ your critical care knowledge, you'll be amazed how much you can do (and w/ team effort) to save someone's life. So always be a team player. As my colleague would say "If you don't join the team now. You'll join the CODE Team later".

Good luck to you! : )

I'm in the same boat at you. I'm starting my 6 month internship tomorrow ( Lord willing) and signed a 2 year contract.

We will have to keep eachother posted. I'm very, very excited for this opportunity.
