I've applied to the Duquesne Accelerated nursing program. Have any of you gone through or are going through their program? I would love to hear what your thoughts are. Thanks!

I got my BSN from Duquesne. I didn't go through the accelerated program, but I know from the alumni reports that the program has been very successful, and it enjoys a good reputation. It is an excellent school that prepared me well to do many different things with my degree. I say go for it!
Thanks for the advice. Hope to hear something in February.

Hi,
I have 4 family members who are alumni of Duquesne University here in Pittsburgh. It's a great school and very highly recognized. Good luck to you!

Hello All,
I am very stressed out right now. I am going back to complete my final stretch of becoming an LPN. Classes start again on 1/23 and I am seriously considering not going back. My dilema is this, I have been told that there are not a lot of jobs for LPNs out there. Also I hear they are only making around $8-$10 per hour. I can not survive on that I work in customer service and make a lot more than that. I am also looking to go to medical school and I pay my own tuition. 8-10 dollars per hour will put an end to that. I have also looked online and I can not seem to find any jobs for LPNS. I only see positions for RN's. Can this be true, or am I not looking in the right places? Please Help!!!!!!!!

That is very encouraging. I am extremely excited about this and I hope I am selected!

I know that it is a lot of work. But what nursing program isn't?! I recently had an extern who was working on her accelerated degree at Duquesne. She already had a B.S. in Biology. Other than that, I don't have any real knowledge.
My sister is Duquesne alumni, with a degree in Accounting. Personally, I could never afford the place.
I'm not sure what that person who posted about talking to you via pm regarding Duquesne University is about and y it can't be said publicly, but with anything, weigh ur options carefully and do what is best for you! Take care and again, good luck!
Thanks for the advice. I realize that what works for one person may not work for the other. Thanks again.
