Integrated Science Program (ISP)

So I'm done with the microbiology course... Pleased to say I passed with a B. It was such an intense course and a lot to study with so little time considering I work full time. Because of this I will not take the A&P course... Unless I wouldn't have to work...

How were the midterm and final exams? I have read on other discussions that the midterm term is oral. Is that true? Also, I was wondering how many hours did you study during the week? I'm starting this course next month. Absolutely need an A in this class.

The midterm is oral. One question and done. I studied as much as I could. I work full time so it was a bit difficult. I have all the books. I can sell all 3 for $100.

UPDATE: My course was accepted by the California BRN. So the Southern California University of Health Sciences is recognized by the CA BRN for anybody else who is wondering.

I start my micro class next weekend, any tips??

1500 seems like a lot! At my school it's like 158 per credit hour I believe. Other community colleges should be similar. Although we don't have two month science courses unless it's over summer and they are 6 weeks long.

JC/CC is $46/credit. $158/credit? Yikes I pay that for CSUDH.

What people have to understand is not everyone has the luxury to attend school FT some of us have to work ISP offers weekend classes accelerated coursesm You get in get out. To me its totally worth it because otherwise you have to play that waiting list game at JCs and Universities.

Plus when you work FT you can only take a class or two each semester so think about it what can take you a few months to finish all ir pre reqs at this school may take you two or three years to finish at a traditional school because those pre reqs have other pre reqs so it's totally worth it to get in get out so u can apply at the school you want.

Those science courses is what hindering many nsg students from applying at mote traditional schools.

If u add up ISP + A JC OR University its still way cheaper than say national or west coast so it's an investment to start your career sooner.

ISP is a Godsend in my opinion because so many nsg students are opting for expensive vocational schools due to the long waiting list for classes. Now we can finish our science classes asap and apply at a cheaper traditional school so totally worth it.
