I just registered for Transition to the Registered Professional Nurse Role(aka NC7). What did you guys use to study for this test. I have some files off yahoo groups and some other material. Do I need Lisa's notes or studygroup101? I usually buy the recommended but this one I not too sure about. Any suggestions?

The yoder book has a companion website with practice questions for each chapter. Don't waste your $ buying study materials. It's a very cut & dry test. Good luck!

i bought lisa arends cd for all of these but nc 5 and i ran out of time and had to use the study101 guide ( or what ever it's called. you can download from e-mail). for me this test was more fact based rather than theory. i personally recommend lisa arends for this test, it is more cut to the chase than the study group guide. me i think i studied about 1.5 days for this and then took the blooming thing.

I had Chancellor's guides for all the nursing concepts, so I listened to the entire audio for this while driving back from New Hampshire this summer. Put my husband right to sleep. LOL
Lisa Arends' notes are good for this, as are the EC practice exams.

I used some yahoo files, and the EC practice test (74 on form A, and a 60 on form B , I really did only about an hour of "studying", in the wee hours of the morning (like 4am), the morning of the test. Passed with a B, in about 45 minutes.
where do you get the Yoder Book?
i think i will order lisa's notes because i don't have access to the other suggestions.
When I took the course, EC had 2 recommended books on the list for it. Yoder's book was one of them. It could be different now, though.

StudyGroup101 is on eBay -- http://myworld.ebay.com/studygroup101 -- and you don't have to wait for a CD! They arrive by email. :)
I already ordered Lisa's. I hope this CD is better than the last one. I was not overly impressed. I am gonna order from Studygroup. This will be my third one from them. They are pretty decent. I feel kinda strange because this is the first test that I'm gonna study for without a book. This should be interesting. Thanks.
