Hello, I was wondering if anyone is certified in oncology or taken the tests to get certified, I just passed my boards and am looking into certifications now.
Thanks

Most certifications require 2 years of practice before you're eligible.

2 years of practice, PLUS OR 2000 hours some of them. Concentrate on learning your specialty.

I'm now medically retired but I had my OCN prior to going on disability. There are certain criteria you must meet prior to sitting for your OCN. I don't recall the specifics right now but it's either 1-2 year(s) experience as a RN, an unencumbered license, a certain number of hours worked in oncology (1000 I think), and 10 contact hours of CEUs in oncology. I don't remember anything else but you can look on the ONCC website and find out.
