I'm a mom and Starting the program in January and nervous

OMG you can totally do it! Go for it!

I have a 2 year old and a 1 year old that sounds a lot like yours. Mine is so needy and still keeps me up at night. ... I'm also due with baby #3 this thanksgiving. We are both blessed to have family support so I suggest you go for it while they are still willing! I have just started a BSN program and am about a month and a half in so far and I think it's doable. It's not as bad as others make it seem and I actually enjoy going to school every day. The kids love spending time with my family and my 1 year old loves being there's because she has someone to hold her ALL DAY.

I have a 2 year old and another due in November. I am in my second year, I switched over to a part-time evening/weekend program as that has been way better for my family. But it is doable! Utilize your family and all that support, and know when you need it. I'm certain you'll hit some bumps, we all do, but don't give up. You can do it!

You can do it! I just started 3rd semester and I have an almost 4 yr old and a 2 yr old plus I work 36hrs a week. You won't be working and have plenty of support so I think you will do just fine. Good luck!

Thank you ladies for the encouragement! It's something I've worked towards for 5 years now and it's one of the only big self goals I've set for myself for my future. Hearing other moms going through the same thing is comforting 😊

My girls are 6 and 2.5, and I have completed all of my prequisites and am in my 2nd semester of clinicals. It's definitely not easy finding the time to do all of the necessary studying, but I figure it is just a couple of years of making it work. I recommend making sure that your house is VERY clean for the beginning of the semester, and utilizing a cleaning checklist for you and any help you may have (husband, older children), so that they know what is expected to be done on a day-to-day basis.

I say go for it. Although my kids are a little older than yours, I was able to make it through. have a great support system is critical to your success. without my family I wouldn't have been able to do it.

since you have a little while before you start, you might want to work with your family on getting your 1yr old used to you being away. have someone she is comfortable with stay with her while you leave for a little while (to the grocery store or what ever) a couple days a week.

I had to drop from full time to part time because I couldn't manage my almost 4 yr old is just too needy in the evenings. Best of luck and just be prepared for possibly having to take it a bit slower than planned.
