Do you know the bone names yet? If so, or if not, take one bone at a time, name it, say if it's left or right. Name and point at each "nook and cranny". lol Do this several times, then add another bone. Keep repeating this sequence until you can name all of them over and over again.

Take a break, get your mind off of it, then go back and do it all again.

I am going crazy to learn everything that our professor expects us to know for the upcoming labtest on Thurs, what articulates with what and how is driving me crazy.....we have to know every little nook and cranny. Plus we have to know everything about bone formation, joints etc. I am just so overwhelmed. I AM GOING OSTEO!

My lil' man is still dismembered, the poor guy. I thought I would put him back together and use him as a halloween decoration, but he's still just a bag of bones. lol

OK ya'll!! My day is now made!!:chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle I am sitting here for 3 days now, feeling my butt grow as big as my chair, studying my "box of bones" when I read this forum!!!! I have a major bone test on Monday and stressed isn't a strong enough word for how I am feeling!! But when I envisioned you choking old man bones with his googly eyes - need I say more - I almost fell out of my chair laughing:chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle !!!!!

And Siri - where on earth did you find that "sneaky" skeleton! That was almost as funny as the "choking"!

But I have to say that I have found a pretty cool website - especially since I don't have a real "live" skeleton to help me out!! It is basically your bone box online. Maybe this will help. I have also taken it bone or section at a time, otherwise it is overwhelming!

Ya know, my favorite philospher, Empedocles, thought if bones just happened to be floating about and happened to unite with a tree, the bones would be the dominate, the tree would die out and the body would be created. Interesting angle on adaptation and evolution.

So, don't just pitch those bones ya'll. Take a couple of 'em outside and lean them up against a tree. You just might have a man in the morning. Or, woman.

That is IF you can tell the difference between the male and female pelvis........:rotfl:
