ICHS - 2021

Hey Guys,

Sorry I’ve been MIA but been working hard these past 4 months!  I just finished the first part of the RN program at ICHS and let me tell you it’s a lot of work!  Regular reading assignments, then quizzes, clinical work then RN case studies.  All these assignments are do EVERY week until the end of the semester!!  Yes!   It’s doable tho, but very very time consuming.  You definitely have to be good at working independently.

Today was my last final exam (I had 3 this week) and they weren’t to bad but enough to make you think and re-think.

Overall, it been a great ride.  Instructors are very helpful with questions.

8 more months to go.......

Hello, this is just a reminder:

There are two approved ways to create a special place for your cohort.

One: create a facebook page. This link may be posted.

Two: create a "club" for your cohort by clicking on the Breakroom link in the yellow bar to the left of this page. Then click on “Create A New Club” in the green bar at the top of the page, and follow instructions.

References to other than these two avenues will be moved from view, to comply with the Terms of Service.

Thank you.

Thank you for your information! Are you from California? I am from California. I would love to attend the LVN-RN program at ICHS because I can continue to work full time while completing online courses. I'm also tired of all the waiting around in CA just to get into a LVN-RN program. What was percentage of in person v.s. online clinicals that you completed? I talked with someone at ICHS and they said they have 50% in person clinicals and 50% online clinicals. Which doesn't meet California requirements. California requires at least 75% in person and no more than 25% online clinicals. My biggest concern is paying all this money and by the time I graduate CA will not except my license to be endorsed.

Hey Balwinder,

could you please share your experience at ICHS. I am from Bakersfield and interested in joining this college in oct 2022 for ASN. I have zero background in nursing/ medical field. Is it doable?

Hello, wondering if anyone who is NOT already an LPN has been able to transfer nursing credits from another ADN program? I have completed all pre recs, pharm, fundamentals/foundations, med surg 1 and 2, and OB/peds. I only need to do psych and the capstone courses.  Also, what is the GAP test and is it only for LPN's? Would they have me test for each of the transferred courses to see if they will accept it or make me re-take each one? Thanks for your help!
