I never thought about doing that before. I need to take sociology also and this sounds like a good idea. How do you take the CLEP? Is it transferable to all colleges? Where do you take the test?

I know that a lot of colleges accept CLEP credits. If you go to http://www.collegeboard.com you can get tons of info on all the different tests available, the schools that accept the test, and testing centers in your area. I paid 70 dollars for my test. It was a lot cheaper than paying for the class. The maximum score you can get is 80, but most schools require you to at least have 50. Make sure you check the minimum score for the school you want the score to go to. I took the test at my local community college, since it was a testing center. Good Luck.

Thanks for the information. It is certainly worth considering.
