  1. If this is something you really want then you will find a way to get yourself through it. I hear that the nursing programs are intense but so many people that already have children and husbands are getting through it just fine. By the way there is no right or wrong way of choosing your career. You may get through with nursing one day and decide 5 years down the road you want to do something else. It's nice to plan far ahead but it is easier and more realistic to set smaller goals and accomplish them first (ex. what class your taking this semster and so on). Good luck and I hope your feeling better! You have lots of support!
  2. Wow nice job! Maybe you could do that for other pre-rs if you have any left. Keep up the great work!
  3. I would just keep it to myself (or complain to my husband) if I thought I saw something like cheating. What other people do is their buisness and eventually they will sow what they reap.
  4. Maybe you should try going to a book store (BAM or Barnes & Noble) and compare the different NET study guides they carry. It may help to find which one is right for you by picking out the one that is easiest to understand. There are so many different ones out there and I am sure you'll come across one that you relate to well.
  5. Very encouraging, thanks! I agree with you on "wanting it". It makes it a lot easier to like something when you want it first. I can't wait for AP class and have already been looking at which coloring book I plan to use and I don't even sign up for this class until spring semester. lol
  6. Good luck and stick with your goals!!!
  7. It's ok to be nervous! I am just starting too and with a family it seems really scary. Just remember this is something you really want so think positive about your classes. You'll get in class the first couple of days and realize it's not that bad. If you start having trouble with anything turn to people who can help. Teachers maybe even your 16 old with the math. You'll do just fine, believe in yourself!!! Good Luck!
  8. Good luck to you! I too will be starting this Mon. Aug. 15th at a community college in North Carolina. I completed a math course this summer and it went well. Just taking pre-rexs to get into the adn program then eventually hope to transfer to a university later on for RN to BSN. Chem. Eng. and a computer course is what I am up for this fall. How about yourself? Alicia
