I Passed!!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi everyone!!! I just got my results this morning via internet... I passed!!! I am in complete shock and just out of words!!! I am ecstatic and totally relieved. I just feel like all this weight has been lifted off of my shoulders and I can't wait to start the next chapter of my life.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for their prayers, warm thoughts and good vibes. Most importantly, of course, God. I can honestly say that from the few days I have been on this discussion board I have made some really great friends/people. All of you are very warm, generous and loving individuals and all of you will be awesome nurses that will continue to save lives. For those who have yet to take the NCLEX-RN or are waiting for results or who have not passed, please DO NOT give up. From what someone special told me, "do not let a stupid test define you...you made it through nursing school and that was a burden in itself, now this is an obstacle too that can be reached and is within clear view as long as you keep that fortitude, the passion and the love for the nursing field, you will be successful!!!" I wish all of you the best of luck and warm hugs!! ;)

Congrats! I've been watching to see this post

That is SO cool! congratulations!!!!! I'm thrilled for you!

Quick question for you, if you have a moment in the midst of celebrating: I saw in another post that you used Mosby's CAT. How did you score there - ie what 'probability of passing' did you generally get, what percentiles, and so on? And did you ever calculate your actual percentage of correct answers on that? I'm using it and doing well (probability of passing 99% every time), but am afraid to feel too confident, just based on that ...

Any thoughts? My exam is still six weeks off ...

Congrtats. Guess you don't have to worry about us answering your thread about what you should do if you don't pass. Guess you're not freaking out and your celebrating instead. WOOT!

What an amazing relief, huh?

Things happen for a reason. How did your history with NCLEX affect your appreciation for passing? Think about that. What did you learn? I'm a believer that things happen for a reason.

Anyway, Congrats.

Hi Elleann. I was also a bit confused with the Mosby's CAT. I didn't understand it because my tests would generally say 94-99% passing; however, when I would actually count the questions I got wrong over the amount of questions it didn't match up. However from my instructorsaid that the test probability is correct and that it may be based on the 'level of difficulty' questions. I know I was confused too. My recommendation to you is continue with your hard work and take the score as "a grain of salt." I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

May I just say....WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!

:w00t: Congrats and best wishes!!:yeah:

Hi Hope

Re the Mosby thing, that is what I understood too. Your "chances of passing" are rated at 94 - 99% - and that is based on the number of questions you got right that were at the passing level of difficulty. My actual percentage of questions passed was generally round 75% of the total.

Anyway, thanks! And lucky you, no more studying for now! :)
