I just got my results in the mail yesterday that I passed the NET. 96 in the math and a 79 in reading. I was real nervous as far as the reading because I failed it in december. This is for the toledo school of practal nursing. There is a lot that has to be done as far as shots, cna, drug test, and criminal backround. I'm pretty excited about starting. I do have one question. How much do all the immunizations cost. We dont have insurense, so I was curious.

Congrats,
As far as the immunizations go, it will depend on what you have records for from your childhood shots. I could not find all of my records, and they don't accept the babybook records my parents had kept, so I had to have a titer test done. The titer was fairly expensive but it eliminated quite a few unneeded vaccine repeats. I was fortunate to have great insurance though to help too...

Congrats! Call your family doctor and just ask. I am in the process of finishing up my vaccines, but I have health insurance so I can't be too much help. Although, they did tell me that I only had to pay the co-pay once (since vaccines generally require follow-ups and additional shots) and that I would get billed for whatever my health plan doesn't cover. So hopefully your doctor won't charge you for every time you go. GL!

Congrats on your test!
As for the immunizations, you can check with your school to see if they have a program in place for students. My school had one that was free for students but I had already finished them before I found out. I think that mine cost around six or seven hundred bucks for them all.
Good luck and congrats again!

Check with your county health department. You can probably get them there and it will be cheaper. Also check with your school they often have even require student health insurance. Talk to you family doctor explain you dilemma to him. Talk directly to the doctor not the secretary he may be willing to help you out a little on this especially if he knows you are going to nursing school.
oh and CONGRATS!
