Hi everyone. I need help figuring out how much Levaquin needs to be added to the IV bag. What I came up with is 1mL but since the question states Do NOT round this answer I think I got the wrong answer? My professor isn't giving us the answers until Tuesday but I need to know if I am doing this right or wrong.
Levaquin 500mg IV is ordered to be given once daily. You have Levaquin 2000mg in 4mL. You need to add this to mix in IV bag of 250mL of NS. How many mL of Levaquin needs to be added to the IV bag. Do NOT round this answer.

Was this the only question you had for homework/in the section that said "dont round"?
Just because youre instructed not to round doesnt mean that all (or even any) of your answers will be in decimals

You're over thinking this. You don't even need dimensional analysis to get the answer just simple math.

2000 mg/4 mL = x mg/mL?
This is a very simple math problem that can be done in one's head.

It's very simple math. Order/have multiplied by mL.... Don't read to far into the question. I got the same answer you did.
OP, I'm confused why you think that you got the question wrong because it says not to round. No rounding is needed to get the answer.

the question states to not round to trick you into thinking there will be rounding...
I always do dimensional analysis, even when people say you can just look at it and find the answer, because I quite frankly don't trust myself. And if that works for you, keep doing it.
