HRSA 2021-2022

Hey Everyone ?

I have been following along with this thread for awhile.  Congratulations to all the finalists! Also, to everyone still waiting don’t lose hope!  Stay optimistic!  I had to call in because I was worried about one of the documents I uploaded.  I couldn’t help but inquire about the chances of receiving an award if you were a finalist.  The representative couldn’t “guarantee” anything but she said they have more funding this year than previous years.  I hope this helps all the finalists and those still waiting to hear be a little less stressed and more hopeful.

 That’s refreshing to hear and I do believe as well that this year there will be more funding since there is a need for nurses to serve in underrepresented communities to close the gap in healthcare disparities.

There’s also still a lot of time, so we can all still keep our heads up XX

Hi, yall so I applied for this scholarship but I also applied for the VA scholarship. I just submitted my application for the VA even though I got a credit check from HRSA on the 6th because I haven't received an email yet. Hopefully, I get one of the two. I'd prefer this one because there are a lot more options in terms of places of employment but hey, whatever pays the school costs.

Has anyone heard anything since the first round of applicants were notified? I know they usually do 2 rounds a week apart so I was just wondering? or maybe it'll be after the 13 since I know that was the deadline to accept for round 1

I think Im in round 2 of letters. I saw on another board under the loan repayment 2021-2022, someone who signed up for this scholarship got a finalist letter July 16th , I got mine August 6th , but I believe another round will happen after August 13th if someone declines or don’t submit their files on time or discrepancies are found . Good luck and hope you get your letter soon. 

It would nice to know next week because my loan disburses and I start classes on the 24th

I was told to just go ahead and accept the loans - I’m a finalist but I technically begin class the 16th, and term bill is due the 20th so I just accepted the Loan and I’ll figure it out later. I wouldn’t sweat it

Yeah I did. It’s gonna go through on Monday but I also have to come out of pocket. I didn’t want multiple loans
