Hi!

I would like to know how to study for the NCLEX. I have the Nclex RN examination book (saunders). I am reading the book and making the questions, but I would like to know others tips. Thanks for your help. Hera1021

Hi,

I just took the NCLEX today, and had 265 questions. I think Saunders is good for content, but in my opinion it won't help you much for the NCLEX. I'm sure I failed :( Anyway, if I had to do over I'd try the NCSBN web site: http://www.learningext.com/students/ They have a test plan, and they are the ones who write the NCLEX questions, so makes sense to try their test plan. Best of luck to you.

I took the 3 week online review through NCSBN. I'm not sure that it was very helpful for me. It was a bunch of modules on the different sections of the test and all of the systems of the body. At the end of each section there was a quiz. There was also a part you could take random test questions. I didn't find the material that I was reading very helpful or any better than Kaplan. Some of it was contradiciting what Kaplans book said. It just made me even more confused. I actually scored exactly the same on the NCLEX results as the time before when I took the Kaplan course. I am now doing Suzannes review and getting ready to take it again at the end of March. Hopefully I pass this time!!!!! Everyone studies and takes tests differently but one thing a lot of us have in common is the will to pass this test after going through all of the hard work we did in nursing school. You have to find what works for you. I hope this helps you. Good Luck!!!

why dont u try kaplan.

Hello Everyone

Thanks for replying me. I took the exam and I fail. I used kaplan review and I felt the review did not help me how I expected in my NCLEX exam. I am going to take again the NCLEX, but I am feeling a little bit fear to fail again. I am studying hard, but it hard to remember everything that is in the textbook. Well I am going to try again to take the NCLEX exam. Thanks for your help and advices.
