Hello-I am seriously considering enrolling in a LPN program at a local vocation college. Now I just need to figure out my work schedule is going to be. The school is Mon-Thurs. from 2pm-10pm. How many hours of study per day does the average person need? Thanks in advance for any info. you may have!

In my school i literally had a test almost everyday and had to keep a 75 avg. about 1-2 hours a day. Every other week i had clinicals and that was the time for rest. I also worked a full time job from 11pm to 6:30 am then off to school from 8 am to 1pm

really depends on how fast u accumulat things.some of my friends study about 2-3 hrs a day which is a good minimum or maximum hrs to study.that way you will get a lot of things in your head and you will remember easily so by the time lecture or quiz comes your very much ready.I heard some schools do quizzes everyday and I think that's a good idea to check if the student is really studying.STUDY STUDY STUDY is the key to being successful If you wanna finish something.Good Luck with your studies, Lots of challenges are heading for you.
GOOD LUCK

I have to throw my two cents in. In my program, we would have two lessons a day, and test on both the following day. This was not an every day occurrence due to clinicals but I required about 6 hours a day. And my best advice I can give is to make flash cards! It can be time consuming but it was my saving grace in school. I would make them and quizz myself every chance I had.....cooking dinner, waiting in line at the store, whatever. We had to maintain an 80 average or we were kicked out and I couldn't let that happen no matter what. I didn't have a life for a year, but it was so worth it. Best of luck to you!

Wow...where did you guys go? My school is about 35 hours a week. 40 credits in 12 months (not counting pre-reqs). Multiple tests a week, case studies, reports, presentations, yuck. Unless you go part time. :uhoh21:

My program has an open door policy with clinicals scheduled. We must have at least 20 hours a week logged and the program last 18 to 24 months long, but you can put in overtime and finish in one year.

my studying ranges from 3-5 hours a day, but there is always at least 3 hours.
