How Long it takes to get your CA application processed and IP?

hi all,

i'm moving to ca from pa and have heard that it takes really long time to process the application process, take the exam and finally get your license. can anyone with recent experience tell me how long is really long and what i should expect? also, how long does it take to receive an ip? thank you so much!

If you are planning only to begin work in California, then just apply to CA Board of nursing for initial licensure. It doesn't matter where you actually take the NCLEX exam, it could even be in London. You will just save yourself some time and money.

Well. I graduated Sept 30th, I got my Authorization to test late Nov, Tested the 2nd week of Dec then, got my results 2 weeks later. (I passed Whoo Hoo!) So over all about 3 months. But I heard if your going through this process in the Spring time it's A LOT faster because more people graduate in the spring time so they are better staffed. Good Luck!
