I took the NCLEX RN this afternoon. It shut off at 75 in about 45 minutes. I had 15 SATAs, a ton of prioritization and a ton of meds. I did not have a single math question or other "alternative format" question (other than the SATAs). It did not seem like there were many meds, diseases or procedures that I did not know. On any other test I would count this as a good sign- on the NCLEX I am worried that it is because the CAT kept me at more basic level information and that there is no way I passed in 75. But I did feel well prepared and like I knew what I was doing.
Long story short, I am making myself crazy ruminating about the test. How do/did you distract yourself? I only have to wait 48 hours... you poor CA test takers, I don't know how you do it. This is what I have done so far to ease my anxiety, to no avail.
Did the PVT, "good pop up"
Worried that the PVT was wrong.
Did the PVT again. Good pop up.
Posted on facebook that I was scared, discussed what Dec. graduating class experienced on their tests.
Did the PVT. Good.
Went to dinner. Tried to talk about things other than the NCLEX.
Went grocery shopping.
Cleaned.
Did the dishes.
PVT. Good.
Read the PVT thread new entries.
Googled the PVT.
PVT. Good.
And here I am. I am going to try to watch a movie next. Thank goodness I am working tomorrow, but as I am a nurse intern, I am sure I will be flooded with "How did it go?"s. I just can't believe I passed it....
So anyways. Any good ideas on how to keep myself occupied?
