How to get pre req gpa?

Published

Hi! I posted a question similar to this a while ago but i just wanted to restate it. I'm wondering how to get my pre req gpa. I know it's the classes like chem, micro, and algebra, but im still stuck on how to get it. Can you guys help me? My overall gpa is a 3.35 so im hoping my pre req gpa will be much higher. What i did was times what i got in the class by the credit hour.

For example, i got an A in Chem. and its 4 credit hours for that class. so i multiplied 4 x 4 and got 16. And i did that for all my other pre req classes and added them up, i ended up with a 96. I don't know what this means though :confused:

Can someone help?

Hey there! If you do go to this site, it will give you your pre-req GPA: http://www.back2college.com/gpa.htm

You do not have to enter the course in the first column, just the credit hours and then select A, B, C, so on for the grade you made in that course and hit calculate after you have entered all pre-req courses...you'll then have your pre-req GPA! :)

If you need any other help let me know!

The thing with that one is that it only calculates 7 grades. but i need about 10:

AP1

AP2

chem

alg.

micro

humanities

human growth +development

english 1

psych

sociology

Or do i just put in my science grades?

I didn't even think about about it stopping. We had 5 for mine, so it fit. I apologize. Try this one, it let's you enter as many as you need to. http://gpa-calculator.net/

Oh, I see what you want... you have multiplied the credit hours of each of your prereqs by the grad in that class then added those totals. That is correct, there is only two more steps: add just the credit hours of each of the prereqs, then divide your 96 by that number.

As for which classes to include - you have to go to your school for that. It should be on the website in the nursing section under the admission criteria or infor for prospective students or some such title. My school counts all the classes you listed except the humanities (as prereqs, it also looks at an overal gpa) but some don't take that many.
