Nursing school not for me?
When i second guess my decision, i usually think about the pre nursing students who would love to get into a program. You are right, I think i lost all the excitement after being denied those couple of times. I need to wait until second semester and see how i really feel. The first semester is probably the one where students always question themselves about their career choice. I guess i can wait a couple more months. Thank you for your kind words =)

Nursing school not for me?
You make a good point. I think i will know by the time i reach clinicals or until the end of the term and see how i feel about everything. I think right now the anxiety is just getting to me and not being able to succeed.

Nursing school not for me?
Thank you! Your words really helped me, especially the last part about being worried about the people who don't question their decision. I'm not one of those people either, but im going to keep going =) When i do graduate, i hope to work in a children's hospital or maybe a rehab center. I can't see myself in an actual hospital to be honest.

Nursing school not for me?
So after 3 years of trying to get into nursing school and getting denied 3 times, i finally got in. But something felt weird. When i saw i was accepted, i wasn't as happy as i expected. I was just like, "they accepted me, but why" but then i thought it just hadn't hit me yet. Orientation comes around and im really nervous. When i went to orientation, i wasn't as excited as the other people around me. (granted they try to scare you) So i thought the feeling would come a little later. But my classes were starting and i still wasn't excited, i just don't feel passionate anymore. Today i looked around my class and i noticed that all these people were so active in their learning and i wasn't as enthusiastic. I received my test grade back and i got a 100 on one of them but then got an 84 © on another. And that's when it hit me again that maybe this isn't for me and isn't what i thought. I still want to take care of people, i'm just not as enthusiastic about this as i had hoped. I thought my initial feeling was wrong, but i guess it isn't. The thing is people say i would be a good nurse but i really don't feel excited or passionate with any of my classes. I'm not sure what to do anymore =/ I've set my eyes on becoming a nurse and going to nursing school since 9th grade, maybe it's because i was so determined? But now since im here, my true feelings are coming out. I don't know. But shouldn't i be more excited? Someone please give me advice, any advice at all. I start clinicals in a few weeks and im just not sure if i can do it. If i'm not passionate now (or even when i got accepted), will i ever be?

Took Teas did not pass
Hi! I'm retaking the teas v next week and my last score was very low! Was it better the second time around? And was it different than the first time you took it or was it the same material?

Scored very low on the teas v =(
Hi! I actually retake the TEAS V on the 18th. I'm also nervous but after i took it last time, i wrote down everything i could remember from the test. I do not know if it'll be the same test though. That's what has me worried. But after you took it the first time, there shouldve been a sheet attached to your score and that tells you what areas to study. I will definitely let you know how i do and how the retake is going to be like.

How to get pre req gpa?
- How to get pre req gpa?
Hi! I posted a question similar to this a while ago but i just wanted to restate it. I'm wondering how to get my pre req gpa. I know it's the classes like chem, micro, and algebra, but im still stuck on how to get it. Can you guys help me? My overall gpa is a 3.35 so im hoping my pre req gpa will be much higher. What i did was times what i got in the class by the credit hour. For example, i got an A in Chem. and its 4 credit hours for that class. so i multiplied 4 x 4 and got 16. And i did that for all my other pre req classes and added them up, i ended up with a 96. I don't know what this means though  Can someone help?- Seminole State Spring 2012 Generic/Concurrent Applicant
Hi! I took the TEAS and got a pretty low score so i'm thinking of retaking it next month. Do you know when the deadline is for summer 2012? And how did you recalculate your pre req gpa? My overall gpa is a 3.37 (I screwed up with some classes)- Scored very low on the teas v =(
The RN program- Scored very low on the teas v =(
Nursing program- Scored very low on the teas v =(
Yea i think i needed to be a little more calm! I'm always time conscience so i was freaking out. I'm applying for the nursing program which i know is super competitive and it gets me worried that this testing anxiety wont go away. I'm fine with little tests, like in the classroom but when it comes to big exams like the teas, i start to freak out. Next time, i think i really need to just focus on my calmness. Thank you so much! :)- Scored very low on the teas v =(
Yes i do, i can retake it when the next testing window opens! I really do need to retake it because those scores are just horrible and i wasnt expecting it to be so low!- Scored very low on the teas v =(
I took the teas version 5 exam today. I don't really want to post this but i feel like nursing students will understand me better. I've been studying for teas for about a month and got a REALLY low score. I don't know if you calculate it differently but i'll just read off what i got. (I used the ati study guide for teas v and a mcgraw hill book. Adjusted individual total score: 58.0% Reading: 61.9% Science: 50.0% Math: 50.0% English/language usage: 73% These scores are incredibly low. I did way better on the study guides but when test day came, i totally freaked out. I don't know if it's test anxiety or i'm just not meant to do the thing i want to do the most - How to get pre req gpa?
