How early did/will you apply?

Hey guys I've just been sitting here thinking .. when do you guys decide to submit your application for nursing school? Do you submit as soon as the application period opens? Or just anytime before the deadline? I'm just curious to know if it's more likely for them to pick applicants who applied first? Or does it even matter? I believe my application period opened December 1st and closes February 7th. I plan on submitting everything on January 6th. The reason I have waited was because I wanted to wait until the semester ended being that I had enough on my plate dealing with finals, then I wanted to take some time to relax from being burnt out during the semester. Then of course there were the holidays. Now that it's over with I'm applying as soon as possible. Especially before the semester starts. But anyways, I was just curious. What do you all think?

I submitted mines early because I wanted to get it out of the way and plus my school suggested me to do so! But I'm a true believer in fate, so if it's meant for u to get accepted, I don't care if u wait til the last month....what's mean will be and no one can stop that!!

This may not work for every night class but last spring I had to take a 8-1050pm biology lab. I hated it being so late but the good thing for us, is it was very laid back. As long as we showed up once a week to do the activities, then we would get full credit on our assignments. There were only 2 exams the entire semester and they were only worth 25 points each. He would go over specifics of what to study.

I submitted my application in about the middle of the application period. I also applied for hospital sponsorships, and I submitted those applications right on the last day, because I was waiting for letters of recommendation. I got both of the sponsorships I applied for, so I guess it worked out ok!

I don't think the board even meets to go over applications til after the deadline. So it doesn't matter when you submit it. I hope you get in your school of choice!

I've already submitted mine and it's not due till Feb 1st.

Oops, I posted under the wrong post! Sorry! My application deadline was sept 1st and I applied June 1st which was the day it opened on nursing CAS. Not everyone uses that though.

My application was due on a Monday and I sent in my transcripts and letters of rec the Friday before...Whoops! Deadline was October 1st and I got accepted October 3rd. Each school is different though, if yours does rolling admissions than I believe it is a first come first serve kind of thing.

My application is due February 1st. I'd love to submit it now, but I'm taking a computer class online that has to be completed before I apply. The course doesn't end until January 17th, and all grades on my transcript have to be final, so I'll probably be getting it in by the skin of my teeth.

One school I applied to takes applications from February through December for the following Fall start date. I submitted my app in August.

Mine has to be in by April 1st for the fall start date. I will probably submit mine in March sometime.

My Deadline to get my app in was Dec 6 and the period opened in October I believe. I applied Nov 5. Dont hear back until February if accepted or not- With my school- if theres a tie breaker of any sort- they will choose who applied first, but Ive seen people apply last minute and get accepted.

I submitted mine the first week of December 2012 (the deadline was mid December), and found out I was accepted in January 2013. Applications do not get reviewed until after the deadline, so no matter how early it's submitted, it's regarded as "under reviewed," etc.
