Hesi

I am currently an RN and the school I want to go to is requiring that I take the HESI. What is that? I have already taken the NCLEX and passed. Can someone tell me what the HESI is?

My understanding is that the HESI is a test to determine how likely someone is to pass the NCLEX. What kind of school are you going to? It seems odd that they would require that exam for people who have already taken the NCLEX.

I have my ADN and will be applying for my BSN. One of the requirements was a score of 850 on the HESI...maybe that means the one that I already took...I'm not sure. That's what I thought it was....what you said...I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the prompt answer.:yeah:

I was just accepted to Nursing School and I took a portion of the HESI for entrance. My school used it as a basis for 50% of my ranking. I will have to retest at the halfway mark and again at the end. I believe that each of these different "HESIs" are based on the level of your nursing education.

Hope that helps some. :)

My guess would be that they are going to require that you take HESI as a entrance exam.....it's just like boards...you'll be fine....

I am graduating in December with my ADN and I have to take the Hesi. At my school it is basically an over view of everything we ever learned in nursing. I hear it is CRAZY and HARD and if you pass the Hesi you can take the NCLEX with your eyes closed.

It doesnt make sense that the OP would need to take this as she already took the NCLEX.

i am sure that this is died in with the advancement to bsn
